144) Bohnanza

This is set collection game that will hone your negotiation skills. At the beginning of each players turn they must plant (play) the first card and optionally the second card of their hand (card order is important). The the player flips up two cards from the draw pile and must either plant them or trade/give away these cards. Finally the player draws cards to add to the back of their hand and the next players turn begins. As you may start to notice there is a lot of player interaction through trading of cards to both get the beans you want and weed the ones you don't want out of your hand.

This game will always hold a special place in my heart. The people I've played with and fun times I've had playing make me partial to this game. Thus, in my biased opinion you should certainly play this game (although after playing space beans I might recommend that game over this one).

74) Shadows Over Camelot

This is a fun co-op game with a small twist - one of the players is actually a traitor. On the board there are a bunch of different quests that players go on. You play cards on your turn to progress towards completing quests, but you also must draw bad cards which make your quests more difficult.

This game felt like you were constantly on the edge of losing (or winning if you were the traitor). It takes quite a bit of coordination with everyone else playing to optimize everyones actions. All in all a fun game that I want to play until I'm finally the traitor.

10) Caverna

Caverna: The game that took everything I didn't like about Agricola out and left everything I did like in. I can now be a happy farmer and not a confused farmer.

So many good things
And yes, on the far left there are 48 unique buildings just waiting to be built.

Animeeples, Wheatmeeples, Gourdmeeples, Treebranchmeeples
And yes, they are as cool as they look.

My end of game board
There's so much to this game, but after having suffered through a couple games of Agricola, this wasn't that hard to pick up and almost felt intuitive. This was a learning game for us and now that I have a better idea of what the buildings are and how the game flows (you have to feed your people almost every turn!) I'm excited to give it a second and third and fourth....play.
